For the past 2 months, I've had an awesome time during fire school. This is my last week of fire school and then I'll officially be a Firefighter/Paramedic or a FireMedic!! Here's some pictures of things I've gotten to do during school.
This is a car we got to use from the Columbus Police Impound Lot. The idea behind this class is to help trapped patients in a car. I got to use the "Jaws of Life" and different saws and tools to rip this car apart!
This is how we found it.
Here's how we left it!
Yesterday, I got to do my live burn. We went to the Ohio Fire Academy to use their burn building. We advanced a hose line into a building and put the fire out. The Ceiling temperture was roughly around 1000 degrees and the floor temp (where I was crawling around) was between 300-400 degrees!
